There’s nothing like a good workout to get you in shape. And when it comes to losing weight, exercise can make all the difference.

It’s true, you can do things like diet, cut back on sugar, or get a personal trainer, but it’s not the best solution. There’s an easier way to lose weight and keep it off.

Let’s take a look at some of the best low impact exercises to burn fat and lose weight.

1. Cardio Workout

Cardio workouts are considered one of the best ways to burn fat and lose weight. All you need is a pair of walking shoes and a timer, then you can exercise any time, anywhere.

A great cardio workout includes five minutes on the treadmill, four minutes on the elliptical, and then four minutes of walking or jogging. Repeat three times per week.

2. Treadmill Running

This one’s a bit more intense, but you can still run outside and do it easily. Start by warming up with some slow jogging, then add in the faster intervals.

3. Jump Rope

If you want to tone up fast, then jump rope is your go-to activity. This is a low impact workout that will get you fit and ready to go in no time.

Start out with 30 seconds on each side for a warm up, then gradually increase the length of the rope and the speed until you can hold it for one minute.

4. Jump Ropes

Like jumping rope, a combination of jumping ropes works great for toning up. This one’s more challenging because it’s a full body workout.

5. Push Ups

Another easy way to tone up and get a complete body workout in, push ups are a great addition to any workout routine.

Start by doing a few push ups, then increase the number and pace. Make sure to keep your core tight during each push up.

6. Hurdles

This one’s a little more fun than the others. Start by placing two hurdles on the ground, and walk backwards and then forward across them.

7. Jog and Sprint

Do a jog for two minutes, then immediately sprint for one minute. Repeat for a total of three times.

The next step up is to combine these activities into one.

Start with two minutes of jump roping, then jog for a minute. Continue with two minutes of pushing ups, then sprint for a minute.

9. High Knees

You can also use high knees to work your legs and burn some calories.

Do a series of 10 knee jumps, and make sure to land hard on your knees to get the most out of this workout.

10. Plank

Planks are a low impact, full body exercise that will help you get toned fast.

Start by lying face down, then lift your hips up and hold the position.

Don’t let yourself slump or lose form. Hold this position for a few seconds, then slowly lower.

11. Dumbbell Squats

When it comes to burning fat, squats are one of the best exercises. They’re a full body workout and they strengthen your core as well.

To do dumbbell squats, place a pair of dumbbells on the floor, and then squat as low as possible without losing form.

12. Jumping Jacks

These are a great jumping exercise that’ll work every muscle in your body. They’re a great core workout that’ll help you tone up fast.

Start by standing straight with your arms at your sides. Then jump up and down as high as possible.

You should be able to go as high as 15 inches.

13. Sit Up

Sit ups are one of the best abs exercises. They’re a full body workout that’ll tone your core.

Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, and then sit up as far as possible without letting go of your toes.

Keep your back straight, and don’t lean back.

14. Jump Rope

Like jumping rope, this is a full body workout that will help you burn fat and tone up fast.

15. Mountain Climbers
